The H&R MX3 (92-96) springs are stiffer than the H&R Protege springs...i've never tried the H&R Protege springs, but i have had both Eibachs and the MX3 H&Rs on my car both with the ZX2 struts. For my purposes, the stiffer springs where better, but for street driving, the Eibachs are more comfy being softer. The drop is near identical, if that matters.

I'd recommend the Eibachs for street cruising. Both springs are high quality, so it'll come down to personal prefference and/or performance needs.
