I'll be sending you the connector and the temp gauge sensor this week buddy, i'm working til 5 today and tomorrow so i'll have to send it out on thursday, along with anything else i forgot to bring with me

All my car time this week, which was only 2 hours, was spent changing my Familia's timing belt. Right now I'm waiting for the proper OBDII connector to be mailed to me. If I can find one before then, I'll wire it in right away. The stock P5 plug has necessary pins missing. I tried just hooking up the wires that the pins were available for, but the code reader said connection error.

keep in mind a ton of readers will say that even on a good mazda ODB2 plug. i learned that while shopping for the one for my 97 626. try it on another mazda to make sure its compatible.

Just tried it on my buddy's Mazda 3. Worked fine, I don't know anyone with an older OBDII Mazda however. I'll'll have to look at it when I get the new connector wired in.

I just got done sending the connector and the other temp gauge sensor to you, the lady said even with the holidays, you should have it by friday

No prob man, oh just for reference though, the OBD2 port came from a 97' Milly S, just in case it makes a difference which I don't think it would

My Actron scanner has no problem reading codes for my Protege.

the messed up thing is the one i ended up using is the $23 shipped bluetooth one on ebay. lol

Also double check and make sure you have power and ground at the DL connector... With out your powers and ground the tool wont connect as well....
