      She may not be turned into an enduro car after all. If all goes to plan, I should have a new supercharger out of a wrecked Millenia on the way soon. Also getting a new clutch. I still haven't figured out an easy way to get rid of the transmission code, but if I have to do it the hard way, I will.

          I just read this whole thread...and i gotta say you both did a great job on it..Ive always wanted to see one of these in a lighter car even thought about putting one in my mx3..I really wish there was more aftermarket support for them it would be grat if it was as simple as swapping ecu's like a kl swap too lol

            Took a video of it today, as it was likely its last drive, smoking like crazy, can't get a good replacement supercharger anywhere. The suspension is coming out in a few minutes. Other parts will be for sale, but it's going to the wreckers soon.

                    I was planning on a KLG4, but the donor 626 is in better shape, and they're basically the same car anyway.

                        that klg4 sounds interesting.

                        just read up on it online and it seems like a great starting point as it already has the light crank and good heads/manifold. I used to have a mx6 myself and really liked the KL.

                        I bet if you deleted PS/AC and removed the cat from the exhaust you would be damn near 200 flywheel before you have even started modding.

                            What are you going to do with the KJ?

                            I was thinking today if you dropped it in a OBD 1 MX3 (or 4 door escort like Cody's)+ added some Megasquirt, it would be a great daily driver and could pass emissions, at least where I am at.

                              Yeah, the sound and torque will be missed for sure. The body is far from perfect, paint is ****.

                              The G4 runs great in the 626. The headers gave me a bit of extra oomph, and the engine pulls strong all the way to the red line, unlike the DE, and to a lesser extent the ZE, which fall flat on their face up top. It may end up in a BJ, but I don't know if that would make the car special enough to be worth the effort over just leaving it in the 626. The weight difference is negligible.

                              Sounds almost like you read my post on the Ontario Mazda Club page. I want to eventually throw it in an Escort wagon, maybe with a different supercharger, and megasquirt to get rid of the headaches.

                              It would be a badass swap. I've been eyeing up a couple bh 323 hatches, but not buying any more cars right now.

                                The G4 is a lot of fun in a 323... My swap has worked out really well... I think you are right about putting it in a P5.. All though it would be fun, I don't think it would be fun enough to justify all the work... Mind you it would be much easier to get a G4 swap to pass OBD2 emissions...
