Fronts are 245/35/17 on 17x9" Enkeis
Rears are 225/45/16 on 16x8" FD's.
I staggered them initially because I didn't think a 245 on a 9" rim would fit in back, when I knew I could make it fit in front, and I really don't need anything more than a 225 in back. Though I've test fitted the 245/9" in back, and will do it eventually.Ryan

Has anyone else had trouble threading the M10x1 bolts in? Mine simply do not want to thread into the differential... I even tried a Mazda flywheel bolt (same pitch and diameter thread) and it won't go in. I'm not keen on forcing it either. All the holes are the same.Last edited by marco; 09-11-2009, 09:09 AM.AZ-3 1498cc B5ZET! EVO 8 turbo and manifold, 5 stud swap, SSR Type C, DIYPNP seq Megasquirt

They are reverse thread. Did you make sure you are turning them in the right direction?MFactory / YCW Engineering (LSD's, Gears, Flywheels, Clutches, Driveshafts, Axles) - www.teammfactory.com

you fail lolI live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Epic fail at Solo Nationals, mechanical disaster 12hrs from home, very disappointed.
Epic fail at Solo Nationals, mechanical disaster 12hrs from home, very disappointed.
Just kidding. Got your attention huh. :D
There was a small mis-hap, though not directly related to the diff. At the end of my last run of nationals the drivers side axle popped out, and puked gear oil all over the grid. It did slide back in, and I topped off the trans and made it back home just fine.
Fortuantely it does not appear it damaged anything else. I haven't pulled the axle yet, but I believe the C-Clip is the culprit. I can feel the detent in the diff for the clip, but the axle pulls in and out very very easily, too easy. Surprised it took so long to pop out. I'll be pulling it out asap to either bend the current c-clip so it locks in stronger, or digging up an OEM style clip for replacement.
On a huge positive note, going from 4500ft to 1100ft elevation was a LOT of fun, I've never been that low with my car before and the difference in power was a LOT of fun to race with. It also showed how well the diff deals with transferring torque as needed to keep the car accelerating around a corner.
Thanks again MFactory.Ryan

you can use whatever kind you'd normally use. you dont need any sort of LSD additives as those are for clutch type LSD's only. different types of oil will not change the LSD operation.
MFactory recommends Torco (they sell it on their website)Escort GTR -- 11.87 @ 117.6 mph -- 320 HP / 325 Ft. Lbs. @ 23 PSI
