Worldhazard- they will not be powdercoated, but as Jim said, it shouldn't be too terribly much to get it done locally to you.

Pox- It appears that this bar will not fit the MX3, as Jon mentioned.

Skuce- While Diagonals would be beneficial, it would increase the potential for clearance issues, and would make it nearly impossible to fit the cars with stock exhaust. I bet if you really wanted diag's I could set up a special order with Jim, but it's really up to him.

Matt91GT- Yep it will be on going.

Atomic and 300ZX- you guys are in. I'll get you more info soon.

We will know tomorrow hopefully what changes are needed to fit stock exhaust, with a car sitting around 3 inches lower than stock, I have the stock exhaust on my wagon now. Maybe I'll have you double check my measurements now that I think of it 300ZX, just to be sure... like they say "measure twice, cut once!"

Ace- look for a PM tomorrow.

      And finally,
BPT323- This is the design I have had in the works for a while, it is designed to reduce lateral flex in both the front and the rear of the subframe as well as prevent any longitudinal flex their might be. And while the rear of the subframe is connected unlike the front, this will help reduce flex in a more square way, which is a desirable trait for me and others. I am in no way however trying to steal your market/customers, which is why you won't see me post anything negative, or about the 4-point bar in your group buy. Nor will I try to PM or contact anyone that has posted interest in your thread, and has not contacted me about this one. I am going to be professional about this, because I am trying to gain a reputation as the professional businessman that I aspire to be. I hope to increase the aftermarket potential for these cars as I am pretty sure I'm stuck on the BG chassis for life.

If Jim is up for it and there are no clearance issues, I would be willing to pay a little more for some diagonals as well. Maybe some flat bar stock could be used to solve any clearance issue there may be with adding diagonals?? Also some small gussets in the corners could add some extra stiffness without adding any diagonals. Just a thought....

Let me know what you need measured and I will check it out tomorrow.

Alright, let me talk to Jim about corner gussets, maybe we will just add them to all the bars if thats cool with him, but again that will probably increase price a bit. So maybe have the option to leave it out.

I'll let you guys know what Jim says.

the width of the mx3 subframe is slightly different (narrower iirc) so he would need a new jig in order to do it. you mx3 guys could simply swap over to protege subframes to make this thing fit, you'll even gain a smidge of width in the process if you put your mx3 arms on the protege subframe.

As often as I take the transmission out of the 323 that looks like more hassle than anything.
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

the subframe should drop right out the biggest annoyance is climbing under the dash to unhook the steering column and then of course power steering lines if you have them

Thanks Jon for your helpful info on ho this could fit an mx3!

And for everyone else, I just talked to Jim, He is willing to add four gussets for an extra $20.

Let me know if you want them with or without gussets.

actually IIRC it's backwards. the mx3 has a wider track.

the LCA's are wider but the subframe is slightly narrower. the difference in the subframe is enough to make this thing not fit, but the overall width still ends up wider.

at least this is what i understood after ryan took a bunch of measurements

Mr God- if you have a 323 front subframe, it will fit.

Atomic and 300ZX I have you both down for gussets.
