I just checked the front a-arm bolts---center to center they are over 28" so I'm not sure this one will work for you.

Hey guys---have built and shipped three of the five and Ajax's should be done by the end of the week---haven't heard from Honda Killer or recieved first payment---everyone else is paid up. Cody---maybe you can try an contact him???

Had a chance to test the bar myself last Friday at Buttinwillow Raceway here in California. They have a section there called "Cotton Corners" where the track does a 90 medium speed Right into a tight 90 left up a blind crest, 45 right over the crest with the road falling off into a 45 right kink into a faster 45 right kink into long straight. The road is both on and off camber and in the weirdest way where it really tweaks the chassis. In the tube frame cars we will lift wheels. In the street cars it almost seems like you can feel and see the chassis tweak and ripple as it goes through the section. The throttle control is important to avoid wheel spin and to avoid unsettling the chassis causing a "twitchyness" or small over/understeer with results in you ultimately having to lift off the throttle and make small steering inputs to correct.

With the lower tie bar brace installed, the car felt a lot flatter through there and it was much easier to maintain a neutral throttle without having the yaw issues. Both myself and the owner noticed without saying anything to each other until later in the day---we both noticed the car felt more "hooked up/stable through Cottons...". I'm guessing that it kept toe changes to a minimum and kept the flex out of the subframe/chassis where it bolts into the frame---anyrate, a noticeable difference.

I built the first one as a skidplate brace for the rally car with the added benefit of tying the pivots together, but I'm glad it solves some other issues so I'll keep building them as long as there's people that want them.

        Atomic's

The one we tested on Woodsish's car---by the way we'll have some video of it from a chase car up pretty soon---about 5 minutes worth...

They're $185 plus tax/shipping (shipped one today to CT and it was less than $20) and $20 extra if you want the gussets. They ship out every week so I'd say no more than 2-3 weeks to your door and probably less.

                  Yessssssssssssssss

I think I may get this one painted in Imron considering the abuse it will likely get under the car. Maybe gold like my super JDM isosceles triangle brace on the Miata :o

Well I thought I would post up my review of my 4-point tie bar a received a few weeks before everyone else Mine is the prototype pictured on page 3 with the gussets. I helped Jim with some clearance issues, since I am one of the few that still has the 1.9L The bar was a perfect fit for the bolt holes, and I will admit I was a little scared at first when I could not get the bolts in, but I soon realized that Jim had everything so on point that the bar has to be held just in the right position and the bolts will slip right in. Immediately after I got in the car and started driving after installation I noticed the front end felt way more solid compared to before, and it felt like it was truly providing a lot of reinforcement, with far less flex then before. The biggest thing i noticed though was steering response, as soon as you turn the wheel, it reacts immediately, no delay no nothing. Its goes exactly where you want it when you want it. On my way back home I decided to try one more freeway ramp, and while I knew this ramp had a nasty seam in the middle of it that made a slight drop, but nothing big, I had gone over it many times before but not wide open since that seam is about midcorner and I did not need to stuff the car into the barrier wall. So I went in at about 3/4 and apparently the seam has gotten worse since the last time I was on it, because when I went over it, I heard a terrible noise and I thought I broke my suspension. I also saw a huge shower of sparks fly out the back of the car since it was midnight when I did this. I kept driving because everything appeared normal and nothing seemed to be wrong with the car. As soon as I got home I ran the car up on the ramps to take a look and saw that my tie bar had hit the road, and thats what the big noise and shower of sparks was from.Obviously I was still cornering hard to compress my Coilovers that far when I went over that seam, especially considering that you put 4 large people in the car and the suspension wont even move. The bar other then looking like someone took a grinder to it, was perfectly fine and was not bent or distorted in any way. The tie bar withstood the weight of the car coming down on it and still did not bend. I am impressed with this bar, the handling benefits, craftsmanship by Jim, and strength. This bar could definitely double as a skid plate. One last thing I would like to point out is that that I still felt an improvement, and my car already has as many suspension upgrades in front as I can put on it----MX3 control arms with brand new ES bushings, Josh_LX Delrin endlinks, crappy Ebay strut bars, k-sport coilovers, and for steering fairly new inner and outer tie rods, and ES rack bushings.
And heres my proof(sorry its blurry)

The photo above illustrates one reason why a 4 point bar is stronger than just the 2 point brace---I'm betting the 2 point bar would have bent back pretty badly...Here's Honda Killer's bar before it shipped with gussets-

Do you know if you can make some for the MX-3? You will have tons of costumers from that side. I can post this on the mx-3.com forums if you can make them. Just a thought

sooner or later i'll most definitely be getting one of these... How much more would you charge in addition to the gussets, but also add some skidplate mounting points. similar to your previous design
