Well just hopefully the starter issue is figured out (it would have to be to make the plate work I guess.) Maybe abit of insight on axles, whether they have to be totally custom or.. I know this type of thing has been done before with the 4 cylinder engine (unsure which one) But not sure what their axle set-up consists of.
And shift linkage could be interesting. But from what I understand is there is the e153 from the mr2 and one from a fwd drive car. and the linkage is obviously different.
I'm gonna make a very good assumption that noone has ever done this yet? Also about the shifter, would be easy to aquire the shifter assembly from a Camry and mount it on the car? The axles can be made by DSS.com and it just takes measurments and money?

No one has anything documented that I can find suggesting this has been done with the KL. The axles will bolt up in a BG. Correct on the shifter assy.
Ah. No. But I'm thinking of just buying the transmission and mocking it up loosely on a jig in the garage to check axles, starter and center diff. The AWD tranny is only like $300, still have a couple KLs lying around.

haha same here the lsd gearboxs here you can get them for $300 so will have a play with the gearbox in a few days just depends if it comes with the inner cv
