These are the two different bell housings available -

SW20 MR2 3SGTE / V6 Camry -




AW11 MR2 4AGZE / Levin -



so wouldn't we be better to go for the SW20 MR2 3SGTE / V6 Camry box instead of the aw11 one as it has the starter on the other size of the gearbox?

haha btw Toyota gearboxes are new to me so yea im a noob on this thread ...
also whats the differences in gearsets between the sw20 and the aw11 or is it just the bellhousing

What are you worried about the starter? Doing the gt4 to bpt swap you have to carve out the toyletta bellhousing to put the starter in the stock mazda location. It is easily the least of your worries...

with a KL V6 it may be more difficult than that I think

On the KL, the flywheel doesn't hang past the block, meaning the starter must be on the tranny side

inleast you get a custom flywheel with a different offset ring gear on it.

any way i should have a 4wd gearbox tomorrow but its not a Toyota one........ , its a evo 5 gsr gearbox so i will be testing that during the weekend and have pics of how it fits in a bf . was going to use a sw20 box but there just no competition to a evo box

this still happing or what? evo gearbox was a big fail ,might buy a V6 Camry box if this group buy is still happing
