    What years millenia? There's a 96 at the jy, and I've been wanting to pull the motor for some time, if it was the right one. (too many variations of the kl make my head swim to identify the right one).
    No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

      I've decided that whatever swap I do will not get done till I get a house and a beater so I have time to do the **** the right way the first time. I'm leaning towards the de swap though. Just for easy and more access to parts.

            ive seen 2 millenia KLs that were not KL31 heads. just keep ur eye out you'll see what i mean

              might be replacement engines in them ryan. all millenias come with a de-tuned KLZE.

                  chris, id suggest picking up a milennia motor like i did.Its not to far from a full ze, plus i picked mine up for $116 at a pick and pull.You already know my stance on which direction you should go, ive been trying to sway you for a couple years now.Not to be a dick, but im sick of people that try and compare an n/a v6 to the boosted bp.Youll make more power, with less effort with the v6, and youll be guaranteed to make more torque.You show me a bp that makes 298whp and over 300wtq at a whopping 8psi.Not to mention, youll never be able to make a n/a bp sound mean.
                  First off "KL08" is a stamp on the K8 heads and cams. And if you would like I will show you a pic for proof. Next the quote"KLDE/KL03 2.5L usdm milennia(ze heads,curved neck ze intake, de cams, 9.5:1 compression) 174hp" does NOT have ZE intake it is completely different /w a longer TB neck and Different vris points.The valve train is the same as the ZE in the sense it has the larger intake ports but the ZE heads still have a slightly different design/w better flow. And if I was dropping in a KL motor into your car it would have to be the KLG4, /w stock: coilpacks, solid lifters, better IM than even the ZE and lighter forged crank /w about 175 - 180hp oem.

                    And Ryan you are right in a way once again I can provide pics for accual proof.

                    USDM Millenia motor: Millenia KL47 heads, IM, TB, 9:5:1comp /w KL01
                    DE CAMS!!!!!!

                    JDM Millenia (curve neck) motor: KLZE KL31-1a1 heads, curve neck ZE IM, 9:5:1 usdm pistions, and guess what still KL01 DE usdm CAMS!!!!!!!!

                    JDM MX6 motor (straight neck) : KLZE KL31-1a1 heads, Straight ZE IM, High Comp pistions, And True KLZE KL31-101 High lift CAMS!!!!!

                    SO this means only the straight neck ZE Is a "TRUE" KLZE The curve neck one is just a USDM Millenia motor /w a slightly better IM thats it!!!

                            The KLG4 Is a KL Motor that comes in the 98-02 usdm 626's It is far better design then even the klze, as I stated above. Well only thing it lacks is the high compression. coilpacks, solid lifters, better IM than even the ZE and lighter forged crank I mean come on just far more advanced and loves boost!!!
                            Theres a guy on PT making 317whp on 8psi on a Stock KLg4!
