So say one starts off with a MS1 with the VAF delete and a couple other options.

Could the same unit be upgraded at a later date to MS2 without changing the board?

The latest version I've seen is MS2 v3.

From what I can tell v3 is the version of the board. Do you use v3 boards?

Correct, the MSII chip is indeed an add-on to the V3 board. I have always used V3 boards in my builds.

So an MSII upgrade is never out of the question.

Lex, is there a chance this will be available for the BF as well? My GT build requires an E-Management system, and the easier the better me thinks.

So for the price im better off with the MS2. When will these be available to purchase? Cause im going to have another jdm garage sale to pay for this. So just curious on a time frame and if these are pre-made or do you make them according to the sales?
Mine is for the 4wd but im running a full LX chassis/engine harness

Hey Alex, two questions- what are the dimensions of the MS box (specifically height), and would you be able to upgrade a DIY PNP box to MS2? I know they have proprietary boards, I can try to hunt down some pictures of the boards if that would help.

This can be considered. I would have to see demand for such parts and I would have to see wiring diagrams for the BF chassis. Chances are the wiring is similar between the BF and BG chassis.

These will be ready to purchase early February. I have always built my units on a per-order basis since the volumes have been low and people have always wanted different setups. However, if there is enough demand for these PNP setups without different setups for different individuals then they can become off the shelf units that are ready to ship. In the beginning they will be made on a per-order basis where the timeframe for a unit being ready is 2 weeks.

The box itself is 40mm high without the mounting tabs. With the tabs, it is 45mm in height. The tabs are part of the endplates.

I will say that yes, it's very possible that it can be upgraded to MSII since it is based on the V3.57 board. I would have to see some pictures of the board to be more certain.

I'll see what I can do about pictures, IIRC someone posted them on MT.net. Hopefully it won't come to that, I'm going to do some measurements to see if I can squeeze a normal MS box behind the seat a bit lower down than the stock ECU.
