                lmao^^^^^^^
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Is anti-lag the same as wasted spark?

No, wasted spark is when the spark plugs are fired in both the exhaust and compression strokes. The one on the exhaust stroke is essentially a 'waste' since there is no fuel to go with it. Here is a cool animation I found.

Ok I got it. Cool animation there.

It's not as if it's a performance enhancer, but it allows you to go with a crank trigger? Is that the point of it?

What about 4 coil on plug type coils? Can you go that route with MS2?

Absolutely. A lot of the Miata guys are switching over to COPs (usually from the Toyota 1ZZ-FE) with their MSI setups, it should work just as well with MS2.

While you can go COP with an MSI, it's a bit of a waste - especially with an MSI that has a low ignition resolution to begin with. Wasted spark is as far as I'd go with most setups - especially if mounting the ignitors in the case.

With an MSII you do have a better ignition resolution and it may be worth going COP.

Alex- I don't know how much of a benefit it would be to switch over from the BG's stock ignition system, but for the Miata at least switching over to COPs makes a significant difference over the stock coil packs. The coil packs are a known trouble spot (especially when boosted) for us.

Is it spark blow-out? I hear the coils are not producing enough spark under boosted applications. A quick "fix" would be fitting some DSM coil packs - do you know of anyone trying those?
