Turbo upgrade, FMIC install, 460 injectors

Linked back to my work log first page.
1990 awd Protege with GTX engine and tranny swap having turbo upgrade to vj2o/vf8 hybrid
ceramic coated manifold, dump, hot side,
    SMIC upgraded to FMIC
stock GTX injectors to RX7 460's

    Pics to follow
The set up changed as the work progressed so what you see on my living room floor is not what I ended up with. I deleted the power steering pump and looped the lines, then re-purposed that hose for the turbo back to the oil pan.

Other members pics and ideas Threads 11 and 12 pretty much describe what I bought and where I bought it from.

I'm about done with this for today. I need to get several of the pips bead rolled but that will have to wait till Monday I think. I also need another bend/reducer to attach the piping to the stock intake pipe 2 1/2 to 2 1/4 with a 45degree bend. That's on it's way.
I'm going to plug the vacuum lead coming off the turbo because I'm using the one off of the OEM pipe for the waste gate. I have no idea if this is better or worse, just easier. I also need to wash everything because there are aluminum shavings everywhere.

Anything else while I have it apart?

They uploaded out of order for some reason.
Next time I cut fiberglass with a skill saw, not only will I use eye and ear protection, I'll also wear a particle mask. My skin itches where I got that dust on me.
I didn't like hacking up the bumper but it's foobar anyway, and there's really no other way to make the car look normal. I think my next round of mods will be to make it look as stock as possible so as not to attract the wrong kind of attention.
I'm getting a little bit of idle fluctuation so I'm going to go back and re-tighten the 25 possible leaks.

There's some piping that needs bead rolled so I'm going to call Corksport Mon to see if they can do that for me. I need one more angled silicone piece to finish the circuit so I can tighten it all down. I might have to shape the bumper a bit, either out of necessity or to suit my taste. I'm going to have to tune it too which I don't know how to do. I have to say I'm pretty happy with the mounting solution. It's more sturdy that I thought it was going to be.

                        Thanks Ryan.

awesome! looks like you've been having some fun haha. How bad was it trying to get the turbo outlet pipe fabricated? I couldn't fit there with the rad hose and downpipe lol

It should be alright. The outlet pipe isn't perfect but it's adequate. Mostly it's just a weird angle but since it goes from 2 1/4 to 2 1/2, the slightly off angle shouldn't make any difference. It's just not pleasant to look at. lol. I'm thinking about putting some kind of brace on that corner to keep it aligned and sturdy. I'm using the OEM pipe on the other side which is bolted down on the bottom end. That makes the whole thing nice and tight.

If all goes well, it should be on the road next weekend.
