If you guys really want to do this it ought to be held in a more central location than Wisconsin. Kansas would probably be the best choice IMO. Kansas is the most centralized location...unless you live in Washington or Maine or something.

Look through the old, old private forums threads for a post about this. A national meet had been discussed at great length at one point. Nothing ever came of it though.

sadly, people are pansies and won't drive for something they have already dumped money into. 6 hours huh? that was like driving the next big city in alaska. 11 hours? that's driving to the west coast. if you were going to have a getaway this summer what would it be? how much would you spend? Seriously, what's the gas costs out there? $3? how low of milage does your mazda get? 20mpg? gah, bunch a pansies... spend some money, meet some people you've never seen face to face but talk to weekly.

WI = yes. FL/TX/AL people don't want to drive, whatever. I for one am cutting back on spending so I can afford to take time off and drive out wherever. why don't you?

lets stop pleasing everyone and the few of us who don't care where it is, lets find a hot place and go and forget the rest. we want it to happen, so lets stop listening to the whiners and "how far away it is!"

What I meant was that I hadn't gone myself farther than 100 miles...I've been with the folks driving down to Florida and Texas and a variety of other places, but not on my own.

I'd be up for Lake of the Ozarks. I know the area...we can play 10 cent skeeball and bumpercars...lots of country roads which would be perfect for cruises...plenty of hotels and places to eat.

I'm down for the WI meet site IL or Indiana, there is a cool park about 30-40 miles east of Gary and is called the Indiana Dunes National Lake shore. Me and Ryan stopped there on our way back from picking up my 2nd Protege, it's an awesome park. http://www.nps.gov/indu/

I tried Kansas/more central based in the beginning, that seemed to be a dead end, no one had any leads except for Matt. He was actually being helpful and proposed some great ideas..............that unfortunately led to nothing. At least he gave it an honest effort.

Having it in Wisconsin is better than having everyone say "no, not there, let's have it somewhere else..........but I don't know where........blah, blah, blah..........." and then not contribute anything useful whatso****ingever to moving this meet forward and making it probable.

How about we get some decisive input!

Thanks man, it was my pleasure to help out as I really want to meet some of you and hang out, but sooo many people just want to complain rather than help the situation, so if you want to have it in WI that's fine as long as I don't have to drive to either coast.

So bump for more information.... useful information from members that are actually interested in going through with this.

WI in june would work for me, as long as its not the weekend of the 2/3 of june as i'll be attending the Carlisle ford nationals that weekend... hopefully eating some mustangs for lunch with my GTR escort :D.

June 15th in WI ftw.
