transmission is finished. i went to fix the timing however and over-tightened a tensioner bolt and broke it.

so tomorrow im going to drill out the bolt and finish the timing for good.

      some pictures from today

half the bay clean, what a difference.

      and the broken bolt

lookin mean, what engine mount are you going to use seeing that u took off the old mounting spot for the B6.

Should weld all the little holes and stuff in your bay and respray it nice and white again

with the original b6 mount removed, the 626 one lines up almost perfect with the old holes. so its probably the one ill be using. if all else fails ill pick up an mx-3 one.

Very nice work! Im interested to see how this turns out. Any thing on the hybrid axle by any chance? Or are you just going to do what Damkid did and swap the diff and ring gear?

Looks good but i gotta ask why did you take the tranny apart? i thought you were going to try to make hybrid axles?

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

i was playing around with the spider gear and it fell out of the diff and into the casing. stupid move that i payed for by having to open it up and put it back in.

no update on axles yet. im focusing on getting the engine mounts mocked up so the engine can sit by itself. as you can see ive already removed the b6 bracket on the passenger side.

                          Lookin' good

Thought you might need some encouragement to get that enine in. Here's mine with a KLZE and 626 tranny. Be prepared for a lot of messing about with engine mounts. Engine has to be as far left as you can get it (left when looking at the car from front and far enough forward for CV boots to clear OK). Just waiting on custom driveshafts at the moment to get suspension finished.

looking good. you should start another thread with more pics, and explain your set up, and what mounts your using. would be alot of help to others.

what radiator are you running? i was thinking about also running the fans on the outside but i didnt think it would be as effective. does that radiator slide right under the support?

yours is looking awesome. nice work man.
