I looked into getting a bumper set shipped from NZ or Australia in 09 or so and it was ridiculous shipping. If someone over there could figure out how to ship a dozen to the States for cheap, they could make some money.

so i was at the junk yard today and i saw an 89 escort gt with the front bumper that looks like you could fit a good sized front mount behind it, and sideskirts. anybody ever make this stuff fit a gtx?

well i went and got the bumper, couldnt let it go i would be wondering forever, i'll get pictures of it later

yep..I tried...the skirts and the bumper would not line up.

you mean the bumper wouldnt line up with the skirts, or nothing would work at all?
either way i got the bumper today and it cost me 40 bucks so im hoping that i can get it to look good

i measured a lot of stuff before i bought it and after i got home i slid it under the stock bumper and everything looks really good as far as sizes matching up, mounting it is the last of my worries i'll fab up some brackets for it. only thing im worried about as of now is right where the bumper meets up with the wheel well, its a little different but i think its gonna come out ok. well find out, i might start on it tomorrow night

Well I stand corrected on the bumper fitment. I should have taken the BF bumper off the car and tried to fit it. The skirts were a different story. That looks like another JY search for a good one.

i wanted to get the skirts too and make them fit, but one of them was trashed. as far as fittin a condensor and a front mount in there you're probably pushin it, unless you got an intercooler off a volvo or somethin like that, there is about 4 inches as far as depth goes. all depends on the parts you have to work with i guess

Just a thought But wouldn't the 89 thru 94 mercury capri bumpers/bodykits work being as the capri is a BF

if by fit you mean bolt on, i'd assume no, but be made to fit i'd think that would be fairly easy. i'd want to see one in person before i spent any money on one though

Lame status. I'm wanting a new bumper setup on my bf sedan. My front valance is mangled to all hell so I figured it's time to upgrade it and make my front end look better. Did you end up having to fab the mounts for the escort bumper?
