is that what they are? mounting shocks? i didnt look at them that close, i didnt use them but i wish i would have, woulda saved me about an hour and a small headache, but you dont NEED them, i cut the pieces off the bf bumper brackets and welded some stuff together to make it all work, took some plate and measured out all the holes for the bumper and drilled them out... just wished i woulda bought those other pieces and cut them to fit, woulda worked out way easier thats all

here's a few more suggestions:
The first is from a mid eighties volvo, I had to trim about an inch from both pieces in the middle and it's just held on with a few small self tapping wood screws.
The next one is from black forest industries (they make VW parts) and they have one that is half this size. I just put a few small self tapping screws in from the back.
