Wow. That's all I have to say. Do you have a link to the site you got the exaust manifold from? Good luck on the build. Should be hella fun after its broke in. Did you ever get the oil squirter deal figured out? If so what did you do?
Here is the link to ETDracing: http://www.etdracing.com/escort.html

I did get the squirters figured out. It turns out that Wiseco found out about the problem with out squirters and have fixed it for us. For our pistons, they shaved the skirt higher for our applications to allow for no interference with the squirters. I actually called Wiseco and talked to one of the people in the development department and they gave me that answer.

I still wasn't sure if he was just saying what I wanted to hear, so I compared the stock piston skirt to theirs and it looked fine ( no interference). I also called Frank, also known as Franko, and he used the same pistons I have and he was a couple steps ahead of me and he said that there were no problems with the assembley of the pistons and squirters in the motor.

I can't wait to drive this thing again.

Well first of all I have to thank Dommmmazda for these. They are in great shape and your money is on the way back to you.

Mailman was here today......wait, I am the mailman. LOL. These came in today, Turbo cams from a BPT. I also took a pic of the 26 stamp proving they are from the BP26.

Now I am just waiting on the H-beam rods and my waterpump.

Getting close, and I think I can see the light at the end of this tunnel.

            Thanks for the comments.

You are right the maniflod is from ETDracing.com.

I only went with a 83.5mm bore with 8.5:1 comp ratio.

I ran into a snag and that is the reason I didn't update lately. Seems I have the small, long nose crankshaft and I have the parts for the big nose crankshaft. To make a long story short, I have found a few people that have one in the states and one person, who lives fairly close, that thinks they have one and are looking. As soon as I get the crank, it will join the rest of the engine at the builders to get the short block assembled after the rotating assembly gets balanced.

I had the head and block plained in hopes to raise the compression a bit too. Also, I am running a t3/t4 turbo and was going to up the boost after the breakin period from 7psi to around 20-22psi. I am not too worried about having low compression pistons.

Well my search for a big nose crank is finally over. Thanks to Ryan, bpt323, he sold me a crank so now I can finally start re-assembly.

I just recieved it today and it took a good half hour for us, me and my father, to get it out of the box he created. He wrapped it in bubble wrap and plastic and then used a few cans of expanding foam around the assembly to keep it from getting damaged. Needless to say it arrived without a mark on it.

If anyone buys anything from Ryan in the future, rest assured that it will arrive it tip top shape. Thanks a lot Ryan.

Now on to a couple pics of the box that gave us such a hard time opening and of course a pic of what was in the box.

This is my car at all the different levels of modifications. There will be changes to the color and stereo setup this winter/spring also.

Forgot to mention that I did the rear disc swap also. I took the whole rear axle from the GS and swapped it on for my RS drum set-up.

Sold almost all that stereo system. I would say it weighed around 75-100lbs. I went to a single JL 10W3 now and am still picking out other components. I will probably go with JL and Zapco or all JL this time and I am really watching the weight of everything so I don't kill my 1/4 mile times with it still in the car. I will take it out after I see what the car will do with it all in first, when I am at the track.
