      Almost down to a bare block thats ready to go into the oven. got the pistons, rods, crankshaft, oil pump, and misc. other things out today:

            but the bolts for the windage tray are reverse torx so you may want to have a set handy lol

              dont mean to ask a unhelpful question but what pistons you going with? compression? and how much are eagle rods. doing the same thing you are and up in the air on the pistons/rods... also, replacing anything else besides gaskets and such?

                  Part #:K553M84
                  Bore Size: 84.00mm (+.040" Overbore)
                  Compression Ratio: 8.5 - 8.8:1

                  Eagle H Beam Rods:
                  Part #: CRS5233M3D

                  total that package runs about $800
                  and my build is going down to bare block, baked to remove all rust and grease, and full head rebuild. Lets put it this way: I'm replacing everything down to the galley plugs.

                  i think i mentioned it, not sure, but i am going to be the one boring and honing the block and doing almost all the work. only thing i might get sent out for is crankshaft rebalancing and powder coat.

                    where are yo getting your pistons and rods from? there is a listing on ebay for the same thing 780 and 15 shipping

                      I'm going to be ordering mine from a local shop that I've got a little bit of a hook up with so I don't have to deal with ebay hassles. Doing it this way is only going to cost me MAYBE $20 more and I'd rather support the local business.

                            nope, for parts ive been talking to paul at swerve.

                            and im not sure what im going to do with it. was thinking about possibly parting it out but its still up in the air.

                                swerve is in cheektowaga so it would be quite the haul for you to get to it say 2 hours or so.
