something about the Pit Crew exhaust just looks off to me, I'm not sure what. also it sounds kinda bad.

then again, I loved my RoadsterSport Race exhaust so my taste may be suspect.

Not as heavy as i was expecting. There's still a bunch up on the firewall that i don't think i'm going to mess with right now, because it's behind some enormously thick mass backing crap that i don't feel like ****ing with right about now.

I'll get the rest out when i seam weld and cage the chassis at a later date. (Probably winter.)

That said... there's between 10-15lbs of that **** i already got out. I've been saving all the big things/projects i'm taking out this time around to weigh at the end. I think i'm looking at just about 40lbs between that and the extra wiring i ripped out of it. Finally removed the OEM muffler that was just hanging back there for stealth mode, that was another 25lbs. Gutted a/c for 5lbs, the rack will save about 5lbs off of the hugely complicated GT rack it had before.

Converting everything else to manual (belts, locks, windows, mirrors) was worth an easy 30lbs.

The goal this time around is to get the car under 2500lbs in full street trim. That's with an interior, and the stock ridiculously heavy seats.

Here's where we started: (Please note the baller corner weighting without any adjustments whatsoever.)

Also: ran by Earl's yesterday (Yes, we have a store here, you're very jealous) and got the rest of the fittings i need for various shenanigans. Also took measurements of some things to work out a full -AN cooling solution for the F2iata later.

New transmission guts will be delivered for the MX6 on Thursday.

And now i need to determine which combination to use. Help?

                  Trans #1: 3.85 final drive, MX6 guts
Trans #2: 3.85 final drive, Vulcan Probe guts

Wild card: 3.85 final drive, Probe guts w/ MX6 2nd gear/MX6 guts with Probe 3/4 depending on how you look at it. (I really like 70mph 2nd gear)

All Probe looks to be the most linear.
Probe + MX6 2nd gear looks like best chance to hook 2nd and would be awesome for autox, still gives a pretty sick 3-4-5.
All MX6 gives the long 2nd gear, and a serious HOLY **** 3-4 shift. Nasty status for 3 honk ricer highway roll racing from 60mph rolls.

I just noticed that Wild Card gives the highest 3rd gear starting RPM as well. Unexpected bonus.

finally figured out that the clunking noise from the back of my car under light throttle is coming from the diff, so that's exciting.

pretty over spending money on this thing.

Just drive it until it locks up. Then re-evaluate.

that seems perfectly sensible, except for the fact that I've seen what happens when they lock up.

this is my buddy's car- plates in the diff came loose and locked it up coming off the banking (you can see it at the end of the video), he said the back of the car hopped up like a wheel came off and then it flung him into the grass, he ended up about a car-length from the ambulance.
