Ok started her up again today and it fired right away and was barely misfring. Took it around the block and its missing some power but still boosts ok. Still oil comming out the breather filter and boost gague says I have plenty of vacume. Also pulled the intake piping and found no oil in the pipes and the throttle body. Also the rear bumper of my car has lots of oil and the exhaust smells really rich. I dont have a compression tester at the moment but I will get to the bottom of this mystery. I think Im going to swap in the BP05 motor and rebuild this motor even if its not completely bad.

Well if your running a stock dohc motor you'll have to retard the timing anyways. And as far as the stock US trans goes Ive had it at 15 psi and held fine. It even had a NA clutch in it and it was ok until I went to the dragstrip and it slipped at high boost.

Now I got the GTX trans in it with a stage 3 6puck clutch and it holds better at the moment.
Im still looking for a miata rear diff thats in good shape.

Car currently still sits awating a fresh bp26 bottom end with a BP05 head. I dont think that my old motor is blown. I just dont want to take any risks until I finish the built motor.

          Ill keep everyone posted!

Here's the replacment motor, its a gtx bottom end mated with the NA bp05 head. I decided to keep the stock gtx clutch instead of my used 6 puck clutch just cause I would rather wait to buy a new stage 3 clutch.

                            ok well, thats me :D

but I'm a newbie and I just "hit up all the OG's of the forums" for the support i needed with these cars. I was a relatively new member, didnt know much about these cars at the time. I acquired a mazda after many years of Nissans and Hondas.

I'm more about suspension than anything and the idea of zx2's with ground controls just didnt fly with me as the best alternative for these cars.

I go to taiwan about every 6 months or so and have been contacting some companies there.. I did a little research and started cross referencing cars (as a lot of them are sold as fords) right now

There are a lot of companies in taiwan and only few which are reputable suspension makers. I took a look at AURFAs, they resemble something very similar in the states, but to maintain proper industry etiqutte (as I work in the automotive performance industry), I'm not going to say any names. They are used a lot in taiwan and have had good reviews.

I can't say the same about K-sports. I personally aren't very fond of them, but that was just my opinion

If anything happens this will be a joint venture between, me, Steve, and Chris, as both of them are going to be doing most of the R&D for me.

There are 1 or 2 "modifications" I want to have made to the design of these to perfect them. Now it all depends if the owner of AURFA is willing to since protege's are still kind of a small market.

As far as pricing goes, no guarantees yet, but you're looking at a ballpark of $600-700ish

                            Specs
They work with with the stock BG upper mounts on both the front and rear (according to steve).

They come with an 8/6 spring rate (448/336 i believe in standard measurements).

They are both height and preload adjustable.

Another model is available with a 6 way adjustable dampener, but is about $200 more.

The owner of the company did not want to use pillow upper mounts due to the ****ty roads in taiwan and premature wear of the upper mounts. There will be another manufacturer i will keep contact with which do make these with upper mounts (however their prices are higher).

Anyways I'm attending my last semester in college, and school are work are rather hectic right now, so this process will take a little time. I still need to work out pricing and warranty issues with the manufacturer(s).

For anyone that are interest, keep in contact with Steve as he is the one testing out the setup for me (since he knows the cars a lot better than I do).

I want to thank Steve (TurboProto), Chris (turpro), Jo (Jho) for their constant support.

For the rest of the members, we're trying our best to make this happen for you guys.

                            check it n00bs lol.
