well hmm i think ill put a little update in here.
i got some oem mudflaps for $2!!!!
I also replaced the Battery and alternator.

id also like to know some answers to these questions if anyone knows.
-Will i have to pull engine and tranny or just engine?
-any incompatible parts that i'll have to replace?
-how long expected start to finish just pulling out the b8 and putting in the BP?

Ahh, I am the manager of a speed shop, and I was like wow is that some kind of high tech race muffler he has going on. LOL You should get a universal exhaust hanger. They cost like $5. You can use one of your existing muffler clamps to hold it on the muffer side and metal screw or bolt it to the car on the other side.

well my friends dad said he will weld a hanger on it. but ive got to get him to do it one day.
also, ill post this here too in hope of some help
but ive got a question.. ever since i changed my alt my car smokes after i start it up after a few hours. i didnt mess with anything that could have caused that, like pulling plugs etc.. also when i start it it runs rich(or so it seems). if i put the pedal down it bogs a little then after a few seconds it pulls hard and evens out. the smoke is a grayish color and smells like gas.
its irritating and kind of embarrassing. any ideas?

well at school i printed out the removal of the BP and B8 procedures on Alldata and have been studying it for a couple days. Now ive got to pay my insurance then im getting the BP. When i get it from the JY i think I should rebuild it. Not rods, pistons, etc,, just HG, valve seals, just stuff like that. anyone got a complete list of what I should do before I put the engine in the car? also, what is anyone running for N/A power adders? only think I've seen are pacesetter headers, 95(i think) tubular exhaust manifold, and some corksport cams. I'll also be keeping my auto trans. and am i going to need a new engine harness or can I easily add the wire for VICS and the TPS?
                any comments are appreciated.

Does this look like a pretty good list of things to get/do?
some things might have to wait though like the cam gears and exintake.

Too date I think I'm one of 3 people to actually go thru with it and to do it right you need a bit more than that. The fuel rail harness is an 8 pin insted of 6, the 2 extra wires are the vics which needs added, to the feul rail harness via the 8 pin plug and the disty 4th wire.

You also must move the wires for the 2 wire water therm sensor and move 2 of the other wires around in the loom to reach their new position on the BP

hmm. its starting to seem like it would be better just to get the BP harness and call it a day.
