    from the looks of my wiring book the positive wire is the yellow with blue line and the dark blue is the negative. let someone else chime in before you take my word for it

        Well,,,, My headgasket blew today! Car didn't overheat or anything, it just all of the sudden lost a little compession on the highway.....
        athen suddenly the smoke started pooring out the back(exhaust). Got it home and parked it. No tapping, no loss of oil, but there is loss of coolant.
        How difficult is it to replace the head gasket? No bubbles in oil, meaning coolant in oil, nothing. Anybody for assistance?

          Egt Rip!!!!!!!

          Fix the breaks today. I'm having other problems with it aND JUST CAN'T AFFORD IT ANYMORE. With a baby on the way and everything I'm goin to have to give up.

                Update!

                My buddy is back from Iraq! AMEN!! So happy he made it back in one piece. Anyways, he is going to help me get the EGT back from the dead! My brother in-law is getting me the head gasket for $25, water pump for $40 and timing belt for $14. My other buddy is giving me the Miata head for $80 with a valve job and new lifters with valve springs and new head studs.

                  Update.

                  Well, it's been a tough time trying to rebuild the EGT. My so called friend that was supposed to help me with the rebuild said basically to go F--- myself. I'm going to attempt the build myself, and have been collecting everything I could think of to do the build.

                  1. a used head that has been checked by a machine shop.
                  2. new head gasket
                  3. new water pump
                  4. new timing belt
                  5. new upper gasket kit
                  6. short shifter
                  7. Ebay clutch
                  8. cross drilled rotors
                  9. EBC pads
                  10. Haynes tear down and rebuild guide.
                  11. floor brace

                  Thats all I cuold think of for the rebuild. If there is anything else I'll need for the head gasket job or anything else you could think of for the build in general, Please let me know because I'm kind of going blind.

                    replace your front main seal and get new rings for the pistons at least and get b6t rods get them shot peened and then cryo treatment i heard thats a good way to go

                        rods those are pocket items at the junk yard just have some buddys help u out with the tear down

                        and price around at machine shops or some mechanix and c how much it cost to shot peened the rods and also checj out cro treatment price might as well get the pistons cleaned and cryo at the same time for some extra added strength

                        only reason y i didnt post prices is cause i live in the city and prices vary from city/state

                            first head gasket change i did was in the street in front of my house lol i guess haynes will have to do same thing i had but i bought a chiltons book instead between the 2 books you should be alright but i did my head gasket change and al the labor myself i would suggest you have a friend present to help you lif the head off

                              ps mark all your wires and plugs you unconnect i usualy just mark one male adapter 1 and the correasponding female adapter 1-20 or whutever numbers u need as well and then follow the process untill everything is mark for rehooking everything back up makes life alot easier
