Well I was hoping to just keep it together and clean the carbon off the ports like some of the picks I've seen in other builds. The head suppose to have only 56,000 mi. on it, but I don't know with all the carbon build up. I have just used a wire wheel in my cordless drill to clean the combustion area/valve faces many times. You should keep the drill moving and dont put very much pressure on it, so you dont remove any material from the head, but dont be scared by this statement because you have to really be trying to actually put gouges in the aluminum with the wire wheel.92 Mazda MX3 GS> For sale, $1750 OBO

Update!!!
Well I decided to go the professional route and went to my buddy's Machine shop that he takes all his Honda stuff to. Don's Racing and machine shop here in Harrisburg. I got the head back from them today after they pressure tested, cleaned up the surface, Ported and polished the head. It looks great, will post pics this weekend ( Camera needs a new battery). I also picked up my new valve springs and valve seals, and finally found a set of head bolts that I could afford and picked those up to. Now I'm finally ready to resume my EGT build!!!!!!!

Does anybody know how to put valve stem seals in?
Putting my head back together and I'm not sure how to pop them in.
I didn't take thew head apart so I have know clue. Also, how do you put the valve spring retainers back in if you don't have a valve spring compressor!

Use a socket to push them in, I think it was a 10mm socket that fit perfectly. Just gently push until they snap in place.Originally posted by scort4life View Post

It's off the block, my buddy completed the intake side I just have to put the exhaust side on. He had to stop in the middle of the rebuild of head cause he has an emergency back in Puerto Rico.
