I think I know where I can find an F2T ECU cheap, I'll have to look into that as well.
Then you will have to use all sensors, VAF ,wireing, disty etc from F2T

    For others as well
You can use complete F2T wireing, ecu, sensors, disty, vaf on B6, B6DE, B8, BP, FE3N if you want to turbo them. Little bit of wireing and thinking and its all good till ~1bar atleast with our 95 and 98octane its doable. Some VAF tuning and base timing required. If you are using WB controller and listen for detonation its easy.

Why i know this is because here in Estonia we dont have anyone who can tune engines properly and me and my garagemate have done this kind of work from 2005on and no engines have blown up yet.

Also some of the sensors/tps/vaf etc are the same on different mazda engines just use FSM to determine sensor temperature values, tps type (on-off or variable resistance), vaf voltage values etc. Usually you just have to repin the wires going under the dash and fuel pump relays etc.

Also if you are clever you can use mazdas knock control box and see if your engine is detonating or not. All is written in the FSM and need some analysing how can you use that info for your purpose.

Hmm, that's weird. Wonder why my GT had a 1.9 or auto
mount on the g-series tranny? That's the only car I've ever torn down, and it was in the same box as all the other 5-speed swap parts I kept from the green GT. I know this mount came from that car, so if this one is wrong, what does the one you need look like?

      Edit...
After searching I realized that you also need the piece under this piece...

      like this:

The piece I have is from my GT. I just forgot about the bottom part that actually mounts to the tranny. I still have the other piece that you need, bolted to the tranny. I forgot that it was a 2-piece design. Let me get that from my parents house and I'll get back to you.

after studying the pinouts for the B6, B6T, and F2T for a bit last night, it looks like I don't have much of a choice about changing harnesses- the B6 uses two connectors at the ECU, while the others use three... damn, I was really hoping to just re-pin the stock harness.

now that the wagon is mostly done, I can get to work on this thing.

              phase one:
              -EGT BP/G-series
              -ARP head studs
-Exedy 1.6L Miata clutch (stage 2, probably) and lightweight flywheel (F1?)
              -264/264s with Fidanza cam gears
-Pacesetter header (into stock exhaust, or possibly 2.25" mandrel bent etc)
-cut/ported intake manifold, B-code (or possibly A-code if I can get my hands on another)
-modify EGT harness to work in MX3
-swap in 92-93 MX3 cluster for the mechanical speedo
-Kartboy SS with Proper+ bubble shift knob

              phase two:
              -Gen V M62 from a Cobalt SS
              -GTX 330s
              -GTX ECU
              -4-wire TPS
              -F2T knock sensor and controller
              -Walbro 255
-rpm window switch to control VICS
              -aluminum radiator/single high cfm fan
              -ARC intake box
              -ARC intercooler
              -ARC bov
              -RE Amemiya boost gauge
              -Innovate LC1 wideband
              -remove power steering

my goal is to get everything prepped so phase one can be completed in a weekend before the end of fall, and I'll be using an old motor to mock up stuff for phase two in the meantime.

I'm shooting for 180whp @ 10psi- not hugely fast, but it should still be a neat sleeper.

Did you already pick this up?
List sounds great though. Should be a blast, I know mine is. And sleeper it will be, make it SBD.

Should have it this week, my brother in law just upgraded to a harrop tvs1320 so we got a good deal.

like Brandon said, picking it up this week. If your brother decides he wants an M90, I'm still down for a trade- I just didn't want to miss out on a killer deal for a Gen V.

gonna pick up a die grinder and a bunch of cutoff wheels this week, if you want a hand with the 323 I can bring some over so we can get that axle out

I've got a B-code lying around somewhere that I was going to use at first, but I will definitely hit you up when I get closer to boosting it, thanks

found a post on MX3.com while I was at work last night- apparently if you keep the MX3 harness, you can still use the electric speedo and it will bolt into a G-series with no problems, but if you swap to a Protege (and I'm assuming EGT) harness, you have to go with the earlier style cluster and mechanical speedo. there wasn't any explanation as to why that is, so maybe it's something I can sort out by looking at the wiring diagrams.

                            the 92-93 RS's have mechanical speedo's and the 94+ RS's have electric speedo's.

i'm not entirely sure about the harness thing but most of the time we only swap the engine side harness which is plug and play with 92-93 and for 94+ a 2 wires need to be changed over, for the BP anyways, not sure about B6T

here's some links that might help. their old links i have saved and forget what's actually written in them, if the info is useless, well sorry XD

                            this might be less useful

Yeah, I know about the year difference with the speedo, I'm just wondering why it changes depending on the harness used, considering the Escort harness has a plug in the harness that goes to the speedo gear assembly.

At any rate, some quality time with the Escort and MX3 factory wiring manuals should help me sort it all out.

Just realized I'm gonna need a Mazda BP rail and FPR, I wonder if the GTR stuff is still laying around at Brandon's...
