Finally went and got gas for the welder. Then made some really awful looking welds.

mig. but how come it didn't burn in nicely? too low of heat?

Dunno had it set as high as it would go. Probably just me I'm not the greatest at this.

well in the event you want some better welds i'll get em migged up for ya if you ship the pieces to me tacked.

Took apart the old motor and found this.


It was still running pretty decent too just had low compression.

^ what engine/piston is that?? the top ring looks EXTREMELY thicker/wider then oem... or maybe its just been awhile

N/a capri b6d. I was having some real bad issues with boost creep and was hitting 20 psi sometimes lol

Sent my welder out and it had a bad capacitor it welds alot better now. Actually did alittle work on it. Started on the new motor mounts. I need to set up my tubing bender now.

that is some serious tubing you have there lol, think it will bend easily enough? just add heat? lol

Im going to use 1"od for the cross pipes. Should be alittle easier to bend.

Nice bud... Slow but steady progress... It looks like you are welding that frame in?? It wont be removable once you are done will it?

hot damn! Those bends turned out great! You should be able to make some tie bars, or strut bars with that stuff!
