I have a blue 1989 323 GT with B6T that i have owned two days now. It is a wreck, so I am parting it out, after taking the engine tranny and wiring for a swap in to a Festiva.

I'm in Burbank, partying with the stars. Or sitting in my hotel room.

Well, now there's a thought.... Maybe someday when I retire and have more time on my hands (not necessarily more money) I'll find a hatch body in good shape and start swapping over all my good parts/mods over to that chassis/body including the 4-wheel disc brake set-up. Wow, that sounds like a plan.

My old Honda CRX SI (1.6 SOHC) used to average around 35-39mpg city and well over 40mpg hwy... and that was with a lead-footed 19 year old driving.

The 1.6L SOHC in the ghostbusters averages 650km/tank (40L) which equals 16.25 (kilometers / l) = 38.2223698 miles per gallon, combined driving.

I think what Terry was trying to say is, theres almost no way to squeeze 40MPG out of a B6T. But, I just remembered, Mazda Canada decided to butcher the GT Name and make there own with SOHC N/A motors, so that I buy. My old SE sedan can do about 40 on the high ways.

I personally dont consider the Hatch conversion up north to be a GT. A clone maybe....

Canadian GT hatch uses the 1.6l dohc B6 motor and shares styling and suspension (adjustable) with the b6t gt sedan, everything but the turbo. I agree that a b6t won't come anywhere near that for fuel economy.
