The Joe Dirt one i don't remember....

Jackie Chan was made by a buddy in Minneapolis. (He's actually the one getting the black car.) I can see if he wants to make more.

This picture takes me back to the days of dial up Internet and learning what a boner is for, lol.

All that being said, if this guy I was talking to would have come through with an adapter plate, I'd seriously be working on bp swapping a (insert any year) rx7 to boosted bp(maybe even b6t) power.

Why do you need an adapter plate? Or are you wanting to attach a BP to a TII trans or something?

lol, Sailor Moon is my jam.

there's someone selling TII adapter plates on MT.net for like $430 I guess, they also make SR-Z33 6-speed adapters apparently. also, there's a dude on ZT who swapped a B6 from a Miata into George Marstanovic's old FC, it is rad as hell.

Exactly. Mainly for simplicity, no messin with trans mounts or driveshafts. Plus, I am thinking the turbo trannies are stronger than the miata transmission. It would only leave clutch setups and motor mounts to be figured out. Both of which are relatively easy. I was thinking maybe even an rx8 since they are becoming so cheap.

But fortunately it didn't happen lol.

I'll have to get over and check it out. Maybe he just didn't respond to my pm and I missed his thread.

for $430, i'd just throw an FE3 or F2T in instead. There's transmissions already out there that will bolt to either of those motors, and all you have to do is figure out a rear mounting point.

And really, that's all that's stopping you from putting a Miata trans in an RX7 anyways. I wouldn't even dick with an adapter unless it was to run a TII. And if the adapter is really that much, i'd just find another motor that WILL attach to a TII. I've bought CARS for $430 or less that ran and drove.

it's kinda secondhand info, I haven't seen the thread, but apparently it's a group buy? so like the more people that buy them, the cheaper they'll get or whatever- the SR plates are only like $200-something.

only reason I even know about it is because a friend is thinking about putting a BP4W and TII trans in his 4WD Protege...

also, Ian- E153 adapter + R154 would be even stronger than a TII, though it would require a little more effort/fabrication

True on all accounts everyone. Like I said, fortunately it didn't happen. The last thing I need is one more project. I think I'll be happier with the Subaru 914 Frankenstein. Still gotta keep working on the pro4wd and I haven't really gotten to the Gtx yet lol.

Plus my brain has been pondering a mid mount boosted kl setup for a 323 or mx3. Rear Suspension would utilize a tube frame cradle structure and have the miata control arms mounted to it. The miata hubs/spindles would interface nicely with the drive train. There's more in my head but it's hard to type on a phone

Sooo many pos cars I'd love to bastardize.

Perhaps, lol. The thing is, if it was done right, it could be a reproduceable setup. I doubt very many would be it could. If the stock mounts were incorporated that would allow for the bp option.

Anyways, not to clog a thread that's supposed to be about working lol.
