Yep, it's almost air tight too, I figure add a couple random stickers to seal it off and I'll be up about 10-15hp hahaha.

nice! They're pretty cheap on ebay which makes me happy, especially considering it'll have to get modified lol, so I won't mind spending $200 on a nice radiator setup.-Jack

for those who've followed the progress of the car, know I'm still running the original brake setup that the car came with, since everything was in spec for safety...well I finally figured out a general path I'm taking with the brake setup.
98+ 626 front spindles, rotors, pads, calipers. From what I've been reading, the 88-97 Probe/mx6/626 and 98+ 626 front spindles bolt up to the BG, only needing spacers since the strut mount isn't as wide.
I'm going with the 98+ due to larger rotor (10.8") and a taller pad VS the 93-97 style. So far premium rotor/ceramic pad is around $90 shipped from a Canadian supplier, and the rears will cost around the same depending on the application.
Still working on the rears, but it's looking like the 88-92 fit, but I do not want to run that press wheel bearing/rotor combo...so I'm still researching into that.
Yep, this will convert me to a 5x114.3 bolt pattern as well, so I'll be using my 97 626 rims on the Protege once the conversion is done
figured I can sell my BG spindles after I'm done the swap, since they'll have new bearings and balljoints (I believe the V6 spindles use the larger 19mm shank vs my 90/91 style which is 17mm) and will be rust free.-Jack

haha no, brake upgrade is the main purpose. That's just a bonus, the rims are in nice shape and has 205/55r15 toyo proxy tires with a good amount of tread left.
This is basically the only OEM brake upgrade we can do over in our neck of the woods.-Jack

the press in rear bearings really grind my gears. Plus they're a pain in the ass to source out around here. My normal suspension/brake supplier can't even get them so I can't reap the benefit of a massive discount. I'd have to pay retail mark up, which I do not like doing around here...I'm buying parts, not trying to put their kids through college haha.-Jack

blaaaaah, getting sick of playing this waiting game!!!!!!! been waiting on parts for god knows how long now...car is more or less at a stand still because of this. Can't get much done without parts or money!!!!
Maybe if I had help with this thing, I'd get a bit more done, like the welding...kinda sucks freezing your ass off by yourself.-Jack
