Mazda_Powered's 91 Protege LX

    so I could put the bumper back on after I installed the intercooler/piping, but like I keep saying I'm going to stitch the Stylus lower 1/2 onto the upper part of the Protege bumper. You can see the tape marking the cut area on the Protege bumper too.

        rust is actually heavier lol...

        car has "no" rust visible anywhere else now though...don't feel like grinding down all the paint/body work to check their seams either...**** it

          Dam. Sad to hear about the previous damage. But atleast who ever did it did a dam good patch job on the body work. And it the negative camber fixable and is body / chassis square?

            they did an "ok" job on it, but I'm wondering why it was starting to crack like that, wondering if the chassis is a little soft on that side now or not...figure my future bracing should help with the flex, but still, kinda makes me uneasy I guess. I don't remember seeing any large cracks like that before towing it back here either, it's weird.

            The car appears to be straight tho, but I'll know for sure when I get it on the alignment rack and put some mileage on her.

              hmmmm very clean jams I clean mine up everytime I do a car wash to keep them nice and detailed. As for the repair work from previous owners... thats a no go.
              Anyone knows what 9K rpm feels like? I do

                sh*t man, im sorry to hear about that patch panel... id personally find another pro for a straight shell, regardless of if it were a dx, or your lame ass lx's, and just swap it all over to that... but thats just me.
                loves BGs too much for his own good...

                93 pro lx. daily runaround until a straight shell can be had.

                      well I'm still in a piss poor mood about the car, I'm really wishing I didn't sink all this money into it now. If I would have found this damage a year ago, the car would have been on the road by now as a DD, and the 626 would be under the knife!

                          That's a shame man, maybe towing it from London with that stiff suspension caused enough flex in the body to make it noticable??

                            That's what I said to my dad haha, it's a possibility. He thinks it's from the car seeing subzero temperatures for the first time and the metal tightened up. I think he's got a good point too, I think it's both to be honest...what else could cause it, really?

                            anywho, pics of my downpipe welded my new flex pipe onto it as well as the wideband bung. Still have to find a bolt for that EGT bung though lol...

                              by done, I mean done for today lol. It still needs a flange put at the end...

                              I forgot to take test fitment pics, but it's a reeeal tight fit against the stock cat flange lol. So I figure I'll get a 2.5" flange and open it up to fit the pipe inside so it'll bolt up maybe? lol I have about 1" of pipe I can still cut off the end though, so I still have options as I have no flange still.

                                I'm moving my wideband up before the flex pipe to where I had my nbo2 located on the DP, we think it's causing funky afr readings in MS.
