another side shot, no those aren't dents, reflections. lots of rust to work on though.

blew out two coolant lines today...

had to spend a lot of money on those from the stealership...

looks like parts budget = $0 for a while

front bumper looks pretty good on there. adds some meat to the car

Finally got rid of my horrible stock carpet, it was even moldy! Previous owners were slobs...

Floors were cleaner than I thought they would be under the carpet





Just used a couple 3' by 6' rolls of black carpet, lots of trimming and fitting to do...





And finished product, just need to ditch my gray floor mats and get some black ones to match!



turned out pretty well, gives me inspiration to finish the rest of the interior transformation!

scored a free rear bumper today B)

local junk yard owner said I could have it if I pulled it myself! It was hanging down already so I gave it a good yank and it came right off.









Its just what I was looking for! I wanted a flat bare plastic look for the rear to match the front subaru bumper look. Its also the perfect width for the aspire.

I plan on cutting it up to make a rear lip out of it. Its going to be fiberglass molded to my existing rear bumper. If you trimmed the length of the sides it would go right on, but it won't hang low enough to match my front bumper.

90's dodge colt is what it came off of.

Sleeper it is, I am doing very tasteful exterior mods, I want them to look like a stock sporty model when everything is painted metallic charcoal/dark grayish. I'm using the Mercury cougar dark gray color.

looking good man. i just put mx3 sets in my aspire. just have to tackle the back seat still. i might have to get the wiring for the mx3 cluster it looks nice

I would trade you but I am not done with it yet, I really want to see the full potential I can get out of the car. I've been contemplating installing a ZX2 front k frame and LCA's so I can slap a G-series trans and BG axles in there. I have a complete Miata rear independent suspension I would use to get rid of the solid beam rear suspension on the car. If I can widen the stance I will be buying a BPT and AWD transmission down the road, and use a miata rear differential and axles and have an AWD BPT aspire.
