Pommyvince's BF 323 KL ZE swap

    Finally got the Certification plate fitted...so I'm all legal now Quite a blast going to work in the first time even if I can't rev it too hard.

    Things left too do...cure the bloody annoying rattle from the exhaust, sort the spring rates/ride height out, think about re-spraying the whole car, maybe smarten up the interior.......it never stops does it ???? lol Ohh...and get a vid at the weekend.

    Anyone know which gearbox has the 3.85 diff in it ?? My car is definitely too short geared. Can see that I'll get fed up with all the rapid gearchanges around town...eventually...bit of a laugh for now.

                        Your right for sure on the b6t trannys but there's a difference in thickness of the ring gears so they won't interchange into the v6 tranny, I tried doing just that when I swapped my diffs

                          I was told the escort has the thicker ring gear and should swap in.

                            If that's true you should be able to swap all the egt tranny internals into the v6 tranny, I have a egt tranny and a spare v6 tranny that I plan on swapping diffs in so I will find out for sure

                              Thanks for the diff info Damkid and Shorevista. I'll try and give the washer tank/coolant tank a good scrub at some point....kind of got pushed back on the priorities.

                                No problem once I get a chance to tear down my spare trannys I'll post back what I find out
